Comment on What would be the major disadvantage of a company monitoring their PBX system? by Elana

The disadvantage is that if it is a company's POLICY
to monitor its PBX, then it is legally responsible for
how its PBX is used.

So if somebody uses it to do something illegal,
law enforcement could say that the company is
responsible for the use of its PBX and monitors it
so it must have been with the blessings of the
company.

This is why most companies retain the right
to do so but do not, as a matter of policy, regularly
do it. They don't want to take on the liability.

Okay. I will address the first section first, where you addressed the borders of other nations.

First I would like to say that some of this information is incorrect. I am not certain about ALL of it, but I do have a bit of first hand experience with one nation, and a bit of second hand with another

A few years ago a friend of mind went to Cuba illegally (while travel was prohibited) and he was never bothered at all about it. I will ask him for more details, feel free to contact me if you would like to hear about them, you can go onto my yahoo answers page and send me an email.

Earlier this year, I entered Venezuela illegally and was actually greeted cheerfully by locals. It was a great vacation and nobody every complained about me being there.

Onto the next part.

1. Many illegals are unemployed
2. Most illegals don't have a drivers liscence
3. I am not sure if this is true, but what exactly would be wrong with it it were? In fact I hope this one is true.
4-11. Yes and no. They are free in the same sense that programs are available to you. You pay taxes and so do illegal immigrants. For an example, I will use the state of Colorado and post a link to my source below.

In Colorado, Illegal Immigrants were found to pay around 1,850 dollars in taxes if they were working on the books, and about 1,350 if they were working under the tables. (note that citizens also do this). There are 250,000 estimated Illegal immigrants in the state. They paid around 150-200 million in taxes total, which makes up around 70 to 85 percent of the 225 million that they receive in state and local services.

The trend is similar no matter where you check.

12. So they fight for only our freedom and you think it is our duty to oppress other people on their behalf?
13. Errr. What?

Confidence in yourself will overcome shyness. Doing good work at a job and receiving compliments from your boss helps to overcome shyness. You see that you are pleasing someone and they not only accept you but they are pleased with you.

The greatest confidence builder is the Lord Jesus Christ. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." "No weapon formed against me shall prosper." "If Christ be for me, who can be against me?"

Practice over and over and over again what you are going to say in front of a mirror; in front of your brother or sister or mother or dad. Practice breathing through your spoken words. Learning to breath while speaking and slowing your words down will always help.

Smile when you start speaking and smile when you finish speaking. Act confident, whether you are or not.

The world will not come to an end if every person in that room looking at you sees a shy, red-faced person. Normally people are so self-centered that they seldom give you a seconds thought.

When someone speaks to you, take a deep breath before answering and smile. Sometimes it is best to slow down the mood and if they are talking fast, just slow them down.

Practice, practice, practice acting confident and telling your mind that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Imagine Jesus standing right there with you and no one on this earth or in heaven can touch you without His permission.
