I’ve been shy for the majority of my life and now I’m sick of it!! I guess the only thing holding me back is when someone looks at me, tries to talk to me, or when I have to get up in front of the class, my face gets really red. Like the kind of red when you just had an embarrassing moment. But the thing is I’m not embarrassed. Maybe just a little uncomfortable.
Basically the two questions I’m asking are:
1. What is the best way to overcome shyness?
2. How do you prevent the red face?
Thank you!

I believe shyness is a hallmark of introversion, and that cannot be changed, although you can alter it somewhat, and from time to time overcome it, you will always be basically what you are.

Red face will never go away its who you are.
As for shyness, what I did was just if I got insulted say something humorous at them and not really care.
Also just go to random people and say hey

Confidence in yourself will overcome shyness. Doing good work at a job and receiving compliments from your boss helps to overcome shyness. You see that you are pleasing someone and they not only accept you but they are pleased with you.
The greatest confidence builder is the Lord Jesus Christ. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." "No weapon formed against me shall prosper." "If Christ be for me, who can be against me?"
Practice over and over and over again what you are going to say in front of a mirror; in front of your brother or sister or mother or dad. Practice breathing through your spoken words. Learning to breath while speaking and slowing your words down will always help.
Smile when you start speaking and smile when you finish speaking. Act confident, whether you are or not.
The world will not come to an end if every person in that room looking at you sees a shy, red-faced person. Normally people are so self-centered that they seldom give you a seconds thought.
When someone speaks to you, take a deep breath before answering and smile. Sometimes it is best to slow down the mood and if they are talking fast, just slow them down.
Practice, practice, practice acting confident and telling your mind that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Imagine Jesus standing right there with you and no one on this earth or in heaven can touch you without His permission.
