If I apply in September before most others, will I have a better chance at getting housing?

I am applying to a community college for Fall ’11. The college has housing available for only 30 female students.

I can’t live with my parents. Too far away.
I really don’t want to have to rent an apartment (but I will if I don’t get housing).

You should call right away and get a head start on housing availability. Student housing may be based on a first come first serve basis if you are not quick to put yourself on a waiting list. Check with the admissions office for more info and they can tell you what you need to do. Good luck!
